"... We may be able to find something similar in the clothing shop. I saw some other items that resembled variations upon the same general theme, though most were stiffer and likely meant for martial arts tournaments."

I never understood why they were starched quite like that. Do you not want to move easily when engaged in combat, even if it is a practice match? Then again they are loose enough, a great deal different than what most dancers wear when they practice, even if in both cases the form and stance are equally vital, though for completely different reasons.

"I couldn't say. We always sparred in our standard attire unless we were wearing protective gear of some sort. Then again, our standard attire is specifically designed to be utilitarian and provide mobility in battle."

Better loose and comfortable than skin tight and constricting.

[A soft huff of distaste. She understood the whys of the dance attire she was accustomed to, but that didn't make it any more comfortable.]

"Some Jedi actually found skintight clothing preferable. They insisted that it still provided freedom of movement, without the potential for loose clothing weighing them down or catching on anything. I obviously did not follow that particular school of thought, but I can see a logic to it."
fleurdesel: right, laugh (This is some kind of surprise)

...

[Adele blinks and tilts her head to one side, looking Ben up and down. And thinking. She can't quite imagine whatever a tight Jedi's robes would be like, but she could very easily substitute them with typical mens dance tights and shirt. Brown and tan, of course, but...Still. She bites her lip, tries very, very hard to repress a smile, and ultimately fails. She covers her mouth with her hands and almost doubles over in hysterical laughter.]

[And he's just going to wait for you to be quite finished. HE HAS GUESSED EXACTLY WHAT YOU'RE DOING THERE.]
fleurdesel: left, smile, smirk (There's room over here for you)

I'm sorry- [And now she's laughed so hard she's given herself the hiccups. Still, it was entirely worth it. One hand on her mouth while she attempts to breathe she grins over at Ben.] I didn't-I'm s-sorry. [Hiccup.]
