There and back again...
Who: Artemis and any close CR getting involved in the crazy train. Eventually Princess Tutu!
What: An intervention
When: Sunday
Where: CH5 Floor 4, primarily. Occasionally various encounters around town
Summary: Something's different about Artemis and her friends are starting to worry about her. But something's up that's not for them to fix.
Rating: PG-ish? Maybe PG-13 at the most.
[Action: Sunday, June 16]
[Artemis arrives back in Luceti Sunday morning looking tired and dirty and even more evasive and wary than when she'd left for the mission over a week before. Anyone intercepting her on the way home or at home is likely to get brushed off as quickly as possible as she locks herself in for a hot shower and several straight hours of uninterrupted sleep.
But even after some rest, Artemis is suspicious, defensive and decidedly close-lipped about what is obviously wrong. Even if she's not entirely sure what that might be herself. And if confronted enough times... for once, Artemis's first instinct is going to be flee rather than fight. At least at first...]

Artemis arrives back in Luceti...

It's been hard to get a hold of her though. So when he notices her heading back to the community building, Teddy jumps at the opportunity and heads toward her.]
Artemis! Hey, I've been looking for you!

Hey, Teddy.

Uh - Look, I know I wasn't very... nice to you last time I saw you, and I wanted to say I'm really sorry about that. I really wasn't feeling well - it wasn't you at all.

Better to focus on other things. Like the deer she had successfully killed using one of Artemis' trick arrows. Happy news, exciting news. Things she wanted to share with the girl. Aside, of course, from making certain that she was okay.
So, with bread bag in hand, she waved in Artemis' direction before jogging over.] Hey!

Hey, Katniss.

[She spoke with clear relief in her voice as she looked over Artemis once again, this time studying the other girl a little more closely. Just checking, making certain that there were no major injuries that she might have missed from further away.]

"It's about time you came back. I was starting to think you'd be working for them full time."

"Crap, I forgot you could do that. Don't sneak up on me like that!" she scolded him with a wry look, her fingers loosening slightly around her backpack strap. "And yeah, I'm back. Why? Miss me?"
no subject
"Hey, can you blame me? Look who you left for company."

Artemis keeps to herself...
Catch all for getting in touch with Zatanna
Eventually she settles in floor four’s kitchen, hastily putting together a filter over the journals to try and get in touch with other people Artemis might know.  She’s still learning about the set-up, however, so for now she’s content to just make sure Artemis doesn’t see it.  She can apologize for it later, after they help the other girl through whatever is making her be this way.]Â
Hey.  This may sound weird, but if anyone's run into Artemis lately, would you mind getting in touch with me? It's kind of important.

But he's pretty sure he knows why she's here, so the concern for the situation outweighs it. He takes a step back, as if to quietly invite her inside, and - well, don't mind the goldie who peers out from behind Teddy's leg and tilts his head and wags his tail mightily at the thought of seeing someone new.]
Zatanna? Hey... Are you here for the reason I think you're here?

Did she tell you anything about what's going on with her?

Uh, Zatanna, right? Yeah, I'll be sure to let you know. But, what's up?

He hadn't been particularly skulking, but the sound of the fridge opening and closing might catch her off-guard if she hadn't noticed him flitting around.]
She's probably been shifted, if that's what you're worried about.
no subject
[She hadn’t; Zatanna had made that broadcast thinking that she was alone in spite of the floor kitchen being a public place. So she jumps a little at the unexpected noise, turning around in her seat to shoot Robin a look.]
I know I’m asking the impossible, but can you maybe not sneak into a room sometime?
[Okay, maybe she’s still a little annoyed at how their last talk went too. But she’s got good reasons—and better ones for taking him seriously, since Artemis is more important than whatever isn’t happening between them.]
I don’t know. Maybe. [She glances back at the journal.] But those are supposed to be unexpected, right? The first time she went on a mission, she left me a note. Then she went right back out after, as if she wanted to go. Plus we were all possessed when this started—would they have shifted anyone with something like that going on?

So she answered, forcing a grim sort of smile on her face.]
Is she okay?

She momentarily considered pretending to still be asleep, but didn't think she could fool Zatanna that way for long.]
Can't it wait till tomorrow, Zatanna? I'm really tired.

The unanswered questions weigh on her mind as she strolls around the village. However, she soon has an answer of sorts - the pendant that she always wore around her neck begins to glow, and Duck glances around wildly to see if someone is nearby. ]
A heart shard!

...It's not like Luceti gave her a lot of options.
Maybe she could try the forest?]
